'' This twelve-month taught Masters course is for students who wish to undertake advanced coursework study in Accounting and Finance alongside the opportunity to study related subjects in Management, as preparation for a career in the financial world.
You will be eligible for the programme if you have completed a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance (single, major or joint honours), or you have studied a substantial Accounting component as part of a Bachelors degree in Business or Economics.
The programme consists of three components. The first is advanced study in Financial Accounting, Finance, Finance Policy and in Empirical Methods used in Finance and this takes place through four modules that run through the first and second semesters of the year from late September to May. The second component is drawn from a choice of up to five modules in other subjects in Management disciplines, such as Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, International Business or optional further study in Accounting or in International Finance. This too runs through the first and second semesters. The third component is a supervised dissertation that will draw on your acquired specialist subject knowledge and may reflect your own interest and background. The dissertation is between 12,000 and 15,000 words in length.
