Course Description:
'' The International MBA (IMBA) program is designed to give MBA students an international perspective by requiring two semesters of study be taken at an overseas university. The IMBA is an extension of QUT’s bilateral exchange agreement where students undertake one exchange semester at two of the following partner institutions:
ESC-Grenoble (France)
Shanghai Jiao Tong (China)
Copenhagen Business School (Denmark)
Jonkoping International Business School (Sweden)
Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore (India).
Course Structure - what’s different from the normal MBA?
Students will study full-time for a semester at two of the nominated universities taking a planned sequence of core and elective units that satisfies the requirements for graduation from their home University.
Initially, 2-5 students from each of the MBA programs would study together as a cohort, alongside other students in regularly-scheduled classes, spending two teaching periods at each partner Business School, with a minimum of 72 credit points (or 50% of the course) undertaken at QUT.
The language of instruction will be English, but familiarity with basic elements of the local languages will allow the students to gain the maximum cultural benefit from their overseas sojourn. Thus prior short courses in the relevant language/s are recommended for those with no experience in those languages.
Administrative Details
Each student will be registered normally as an MBA candidate at his/her home university, and will pay tuition fees to the home university, facing no tuition fees at the host universities. Candidates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs at home and away. The host business schools will assist the visiting MBA students in finding suitable accommodation in their locales, and will provide normal pastoral care.
