'' Being able to communicate in Spanish is a valuable skill, and our Spanish Language Certificate Program keeps you on track toward becoming proficient in this language and learning more about the cultures with which it is associated.
Students interested in working toward the Spanish Language Certificate should call 706-542-3537 or 1-800-811-6640 before enrolling in any Spanish course.
1. You must officially register as a Spanish Language Certificate student.
2. You must complete General Spanish, Levels 1-4 within 24 months. General Spanish, Level 1 or 2 may be exempted through the Spanish Language Placement Test.
3. You must receive a score of 70% or higher on a Proficiency Test at the end of each course that you take.
4. After completing General Spanish, Level 4, you must pass an oral examination.
5. After successfully completing steps 1-4, you will be awarded a University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Spanish Language Certificate.
