'' This four and a half quarter curriculum will prepare students to perform multi-skilled tasks in primarily ambulatory settings such as medical offices and clinics. Medical Assistants function as members of the health-care delivery team and perform administrative and clinical procedures. After completion of this program, the student is encouraged to take the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) exam for certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Graduates also qualify to take the American Medical Technologist exam for certification as a Registered Medical Assistant and the National Center for Competency Testing exam for certification as a National Certified Medical Assistant.
