'' The Medical Billing Specialist Associate of Science degree program prepares individuals responsible for entry-level positions in a wide variety of health care institutions ranging from health maintenance organizations, physician offices, group practices, and government or insurance organizations. The curriculum provides business and medical skills through management, computer applications software, administrative and medical courses. This program also includes courses in general education that will broaden the cultural background of the student. Graduation is acknowledged by awarding an Associate of Science degree upon satisfactory completion of the program. Certification is available through the National Center for Competency Testing.
