'' Increasingly, supply chain management is being recognised as the key to corporate success. Unfortunately, many mistakenly view supply chain management as simply another term for logistics, purchasing, operations, or a combination of logistics/purchasing/operations. In fact, supply chain management is much broader.
Supply chain management is the integration of key business processes from end user through original suppliers, that provides products, services and information that add value for customers and other stakeholders. The focus of this seminar is on the core processes that must be linked throughout the supply chain.
The key business processes are :
Customer relationship management Customer service management Demand Management Order fulfilment Manufacturing flow management Supplier relationship management Product development and commercialisation Returns management. In collaboration with: Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, and The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
What will I get out of it?
You will learn how to tie performance of these processes to overall financial measures such as Economic Value Added You will learn how to segment customers and suppliers based on their contribution to the financial success of your organization, and how to tailor product and service agreements that meet the needs of both sides of the relationship You will learn how to use the partnership model which is a methodology to develop high-performance relationships with key customers and suppliers. You will learn how to conduct an assessment of the eight cross-functional processes using the Assessment Tool, which will be provided during the seminar. The Assessment Tool has been used at a number of major companies to identify areas of improvement The processes will not replace functions, and you will learn the role that each function as well as key customers and suppliers has to play in the successful implementation of the processes You will learn how major corporations such as Coca-Cola North America are implementing these processes.
