Course Description:

'' This course is designed for managers, human resource and industrial relations professionals and consultants wanting to develop and expand knowledge and personal and professional skills to develop people currently working in complex and changing organisational climates in Australia and overseas. The course features guided independent study, team projects and maximum use of information and communications technology.

Students study units in business dissertation management, business research methods, advanced industrial law, and strategy in human resource management. Optional units such as human resource management overview, management processes and policies, industrial law, cross-cultural communication and negotiation, facilitation and group process skills, remuneration management, staffing organisations, international human resource management, Australian industrial relations, learning and development, and finance principles are offered.

Course Entry Requirements / Prerequisites
Applicants must have
- a Bachelor Degree in business, economics or commerce, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, provided that the specific discipline in the Bachelor Degree is different to the specific discipline of the proposed Professional Masters
- or a Bachelor Degree in a field other than business, economics or commerce, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- or Honours Degree or Graduate Diploma (in business, economics or commerce)
- or significant professional experience.

Note that the student may be required to complete additional foundation units at the discretion of the appropriate Academic Program Area Head.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability
This fee-paying course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time. Some units are available in the evening. International students studying in Australia on a student visa can only study in full-time mode.
