Course Description:

'' This course is designed for applicants working or wanting to work in corporate governance. Graduates monitor standards and ensure compliance with the laws that authorise and regulate companies and their commercial activities.

Students study units in corporate finance, business law, advanced corporate governance law, management processes and policies, company secretarial practice, law meetings, banking law, and business research. Optional units such as managerial leadership, industrial law, financial management, land law, torts, criminal law, taxation, and superannuation and retirement planning are offered.

Course Entry Requirements / Prerequisites
Applicants must have either a Postgraduate Diploma in corporate and resources administration or its equivalent, or a Graduate Certificate in corporate and resources administration or its equivalent, or a Bachelor Degree in business, commerce or a related field from a recognised tertiary entrance institution or equivalent qualification. Applicants would normally be expected to have a minimum of two years relevant employment experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability
This course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time. International students studying in Australia on a student visa can only study in full-time mode.
