Course Description:

'' This course is designed for applicants wanting theoretical foundations and techniques in sports administration, law and accounting together with practical business applications. It includes the study of a broad range of national and international sports organisations at both amateur, professional and Olympic levels, emphasising sponsorship, employment, safety and crowd control, venue selection and administration. International visa and travel requirements are also examined.

Students study units in marketing of services, sports administration, industrial law, sports administration law. Optional units such as international sports administration, management processes and policies, organisational behaviour, human resource strategies, torts law and corporate finance are offered.

Course Entry Requirements / Prerequisites
Applicants must have a Bachelor Degree in business, commerce or a related field from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification. Applicants are normally expected to have a minimum of two years relevant employment experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability
This fee-paying course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time. International students studying in Australia on a student visa can only study in full-time mode.
