'' The one-year, Durham MBA Finance full-time programme provides an opportunity to gain the distinctive multi-disciplinary, theme-based Durham MBA whilst incorporating specialist finance elements.

The programme builds on the strength of finance teaching and research at Durham Business School: teaching was rated as excellent with the award of 24/24 in the latest QAA Subject Review; and finance research has been recognised as internationally excellent with the award of 5*, in the most recent HEFCE Research Assessment Exercise.

Durham Business School’s full-time flagship MBA attracts an experienced and diverse mix of students. Many are from different professional backgrounds and nationalities. In any one year, our full-time MBAs come from over 20 countries. The school also has a higher than average ratio of female students.

The Durham MBA is designed for the real business world and brings together analytical skills with the all-important soft skills to make it relevant to today’s business environment. The School’s Personal and Professional Development programme ensures the students learn key skills from leadership, effective communication and change management, to cross cultural awareness.

Our exciting boardroom simulation integrates learning from the five core modules into a live boardroom situation. It is designed to replicate the tensions of real leadership challenge in order to develop the life skills required in a business environment. For students, the experience will also help in future job applications.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in an intensive International Study Experience of around a week. Usually, there will be a choice of destinations around the world. With a mixture of company and organisation visits, lectures and cultural events, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in and understand the business environment of another country. Since this trip is also open to all our MBA alumni there is ample opportunity for networking.*

Sharing knowledge and learning is an important part of the MBA experience. The MBA guest speaker programme combines thought leadership with the opportunity to network amongst leading thinkers and senior business leaders.

A full-time MBA is a serious undertaking and requires a significant personal commitment. A Durham MBA also allows for time to think, reflect and develop. We provide high levels of support from excellent postgraduate teaching to state-of-the-art learning facilities.
