'' Together with the Institut d’Educació Contínua de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona (IDEC) we have designed a programme for university graduates or for graduates with a comparable university-level qualification who have completed their studies and wish to specialise in the tourist industry. The subject matter covers different sectors and together with the practical training sessions this Diploma is especially suited for graduates from very different areas: economics and business, law, the arts, public relations, and other disciplines.

What will I get out of this programme?
You will receive theoretical knowledge presented by the best professionals and specialists and will get into contact with reality via the practical training carried out in companies in the tourist sector.
The 350 course hours of the programme guarantee you the high-level training that is essential for new professionals.
The programme deals in depth with management capacities in the economic, service, marketing and human resources areas.
Legal and tax aspects are also analysed.


Professional practical training sessions.
Practical training sessions of 150 hours are incorporated into the programme and take place once the theoretical sessions have been completed. They consist of collaborating in the management of a department of a hotel or a travel agency, in an area of interest for the participant. In previous years the following prestigious companies have collaborated in this practical phase of the course: the Asociación de Empresas Turísiticas, Apartamentos Calabria, Athenea Aparthotel, Derby Hoteles, Grupo Paradís, Hotel Hilton Barcelona, Hotel Majestic, NH Hoteles, Turismo de Barcelona and Port Aventura, S.A.

IDEC - EADA Collaboration.
Due to the collaboration between the "Institut d’Educació Contínua" de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra (IDEC) and EADA, we are able to offer participants the most comprehensive training offered by the best specialists in the field. Programme sessions take place at the premises of both institutions: during the first term at IDEC (Balmes 132, Barcelona) and later on in EADA-Barcelona. Once the programme has been completed the projects and professional training sessions take place in April and May.
