'' This three-day course provides an accessible introduction to accounting and finance for managers

Many competent managers are challenged when faced with a set of accounts. If you’re one of them, this course provides the ideal opportunity to understand the basic financial management functions you will need in your daily work.

This module will equip you to plan, control, report on and analyse businesses from the finance/accounting perspective. Teaching will be delivered by a mix of lectures, example classes and surgeries.

By the end of the module, you will be able to:

# Describe, compare and contrast a range of accounts, financial statements and types of accounting

# Cite, explain select and apply appropriate models to solve problems in a wide range of financial processes
