'' The dashboard is a management tool that allows a company to know where it is going. It translates corporate strategy into pertinent, measurable and adapted performance indicators. To assure cohesiveness between the company’s main objectives and performance measurement, it is important to select the right dashboard. Its implementation will permanently change the way the organization is managed.
By adopting a process-driven approach, the dashboard transforms the strategic plan and vision into actions and directs the communication of this plan to all levels of the company. The management dashboard provides both short and long-term forward-looking and historical information. It allows the company to better understand the needs of its customers. It offers an enhanced understanding of the organization’s strengths and weaknesses as well as its business opportunities.

This program explains the management dashboard and how it is applied to various sectors. It explores two dashboards from companies that have won the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité, one in the manufacturing sector and the other in the public sector, and it studies the lessons learned from these experiences. The program is designed for anyone seeking to gain knowledge about this methodology, most notably individuals who are currently considering such a project and those who are either in the process of implementing a dashboard or about to take over an existing dashboard.
