Training Course:Psychology of PowerSchool/Trainer:HEC Montréal Business school Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Whether we want to admit it or not, politics are an undeniable part of corporate life. They are the manifestation, at once visible and invisible, of the informal power wielded by the various stakeholders within an organization. Criticized by some as negative, even Machiavellian, politics and the skills they foster can (and should) have a positive impact. That is what defines an effective political player: someone who can use political savvy to have a constructive influence, in an ethical way, on other stakeholders. Effective political players must be able to reinforce and build on the power they hold and extend it throughout their organization in a lasting way.
This training program is designed to provide participants with the basic political skills necessary to exercise their informal power in an optimal manner. This translates into tactics and strategies that can be used to influence the various other stakeholders within an organization. At the end of the program, participants will be adept at playing the "political game" and using these skills to protect themselves against potential abuses of power.
