Course Description:
'' The objective of coaching supervision is to develop skills and attend to the continuing professional development of another coach as an effective and ethical practitioner, particularly in a business context. This new programme has been developed to meet the increasing requirement from coaches for a supervisory relationship and from organisations to ensure quality and consistency in coaching standards.
Participant profile
The programme is designed for those who work as independent coaches, or as in-company coaches, and who wish to add the additional skill-set of supervision to their portfolio. A pre-requisite for the programme is that participants are practising coaches, with a minimum of 2 years�experience, and are in some form of supervision at the time of application. As this is a post-graduate qualification, a first degree, or equivalent, is normally required.
There is a maximum of 16 participants on each programme.
Content
Module One: The Coaching Supervision Relationship
This module introduces the programme and gives an overview introduction to Supervision, and Coaching Supervision in particular. Components include:

â—? Theory and Philosophy of Supervision
â—? The Supervisory Relationship
â—? Contracting, the importance of contracting, ethical and boundary considerations
â—? Understanding Developmental Stages of Learning for Supervisor/Supervisee
â—? Getting Started, being a Supervisor, and being a Supervisee
Module Two: Exploration of Techniques, Models of and Approaches to Coaching Supervision
By the end of this module, participants will have a practical understanding of the theory behind various coaching supervision approaches. The module focuses on the skills of supervision, models of supervision, approaches to supervision and coaching signatures.
Module Three: Psychological and Psychotherapeutic Elements and Concepts
This module explores the unconscious drivers of behaviour and how the coaching supervisor needs to have an understanding of the key unconscious processes in order to be effective in the supervision role. The main areas covered in this module include the nature of relationships, relationship issues, emotional footprints and responses and the tricks our minds and hearts play.
Module Four: Evolving Coaching Supervision Practice: Integration, Reflections and Looking Forward
During this module you will examine:
