'' The MSc International Tourism Management equips students with the advanced knowledge, understanding and skills essential to successful careers in management roles in the expanding local and international tourism industry.
With an emphasis on strategic and applied multidisciplinary approaches that transfer to a variety international contexts, the programme reflects current research in the business school and features guest speakers, regional and international visits and the opportunity to engage with tourism practitioners and policy makers.
The programme is taught in the Business School at Scarborough, the UK’s first resort - an ideal location for studying tourism. Scarborough is going through a £120m resort regeneration process and thus offers living case studies to support learning and assessment work, including the Sands tourist complex, super casino, urban and rural destination amalgams. Staff in the Business School at Scarborough have contributed significantly towards developing the town’s tourism development strategy.
The MSc International Business is aimed at both recent graduates, with little or no working experience, and those who have been working and now wish to pursue advanced study, including those seeking promotion or movement across the industry or those wishing to progress into new dimensions of tourism management.
