'' The MSc Marketing Management meets the needs of students seeking to develop an understanding of marketing at an advanced level. As well as introducing the essential concepts of marketing and the role of marketing within the organisation, the programme aims to foster the development of a critically informed practitioner: someone who is able to synthesise intellectual and practical skills to achieve marketing outcomes effectively.

Students are thus introduced both to the main theoretical tenets of the marketing literature and to something of their intellectual development, value and limitations in use, along with some of the proposed alternative theories and perspectives.

While marketing’s principles are universal in nature, the programme’s content considers these within different national contexts - using case studies, examples, personal reflection and discussion - to make it international in perspective.

The dissertation element of the programme builds on the subject and intellectual skills developed over the taught component, allowing students to explore an issue in marketing in some considerable depth.

The MSc Marketing is aimed at both recent graduates, with little or no working experience, and those who have been working and now wish to pursue advanced study. It consists of
