The content of the two Executive MBA streams is exactly the same and consists of the following key components:
Core courses The core courses ensure you have an in-depth understanding of the essential business disciplines. They give you a solid foundation of knowledge which you apply to practical projects throughout the rest of the programme. You build on previous experience and acquire new knowledge and practical skills in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, organisational behaviour and strategy.
Electives Elective courses provide you with the opportunity to specialise in an area of particular interest or to explore new avenues. As an Imperial Executive MBA student, you undertake four.
Project Putting into practice the theory taught on the MBA, this project allows you to develop specialised expertise by researching a real business issue. Projects range from consultancy assignments to theoretical analyses.

It is as applicable to someone exploring diversification within an organisation as it is if you are planning to start your own business.
