'' The BA (Hons) in Tourism Management provides students with a thorough understanding of one of the world’s largest and most dynamic industries. Tourism Management is taught within the Kent Business School and so is a blend of both the study of tourism and the study of business and management. This combination develops the necessary analytical skills that future tourism leaders will need in both the public and private sectors.

We welcome a range of students onto this degree programme, including mature students and those working in the tourism industry, as well as school-leavers.

Programme highlights
Tourism Management students at the University of Kent benefit highly from research-led teaching where the applied research of internationally recognised academics feeds into a positive and dynamic student learning experience.

The tourism teaching has a real world’ emphasis with field visits in the UK, the use of case studies from across the globe and a programme of invited key speakers from the tourism industry in the UK and beyond. Students also join an overseas fieldtrip in the second year which in the past has been based in Spain (Barcelona) and Greece (Athens).

Tourism at Kent has a special focus on the role that tourism plays in economic development and regeneration in many areas, with a particular interest in tourism in islands and coastal areas around the world. Being based in the county of Kent with its long coastline, there are opportunities for students to visit coastal resorts in the region.
