Course Description:

'' The Sports Management course focuses on the social and managerial aspects of both sports performance and sporting activity. This course will equip you with an understanding of the social complexity of sports and prepare you to deal with the organisational, operational and promotional aspects of sports.

At Kingston University we believe that theoretical knowledge should be underpinned by a strong practical component and therefore students are encouraged to gain field experience in their chosen area of sport via both structured and independent sessions.

This course is designed to appeal to students wishing to pursue careeers in sport administration or self employment as personal trainers/health advisers or students wishing to expand their knowledge in the business and administration side of sports.

What you will study
At Kingston University, students studying Sports Management at the graduate level will have the opportunity to explore the social, political, organisational, operational and promotional aspects of sports. Students will also be able to broaden their knowledge base with optional modules offered in health promotion, nutrition and marketing.

Assessment
Module assessment includes exams, case studies, coursework and presentations. Dissertation is required for completion of degree.
