Course Description:

'' If you already have at least 60 credits in psychology, this course will allow you to ‘convert�your degree into a graduate diploma in psychology. You will also be eligible for Graduate Basis For Registration by the British Psychological Society (BPS) �a necessary requirement for further study and employment opportunities in psychology.

What you will study
You will examine all of the major areas in psychology �as required by the British Psychological Society to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of psychology. You will learn how psychologists work and will acquire skills that allow you to evaluate the claims of other researchers. You will study self and identity, attitudes and behaviour, attribution theory and bias, prejudice, discrimination and critical social psychology. You will also look at the possible links between biology and behaviour, as well as becoming acquainted with issues concerning cognitive science and neuropsychology. In addition, you will identify key issues surrounding development across the lifespan, examine the relationship between language, thinking and cognition, and look at the theories of personality and the basis of individual differences in personality and intelligence.
