Training Course:

Occupational Health and Safety Management

School/Trainer:

Loughborough University Business School
Loughborough, Leicestershire, United Kingdom

Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced

Course Description:

'' Programme Director David Wenham and Tutor Deborah Walker will be on hand to discuss programme details and their research into occupational risk management.

Since the advent of the Health and Safety at Work Act and, more recently, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, the philosophy of managing work based hazards has changed from a reactive rule based protocol to one based on the assessment and management of risks. The systematic assessment and management of workplace hazards demand the development of existing knowledge and skills. Good employers now recognise that managing health and safety has not only legal and moral imperatives, but also makes good business sense.

Loughborough University has been providing training in occupational health and safety management for more than 30 years. On successful completion, participants will be able to make better informed decisions concerning the management of occupational health and safety.
