'' This full-time programme is aimed at students who wish to extend their business knowledge and specialise in an increasingly important area of business: Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM). Graduates of this programme are expected to use it in combination with their first degree and their experience to give them a winning advantage in the job market.
One of the biggest influences in recent years on professional practice in this field is Information Systems (IS). In particular, the routine application of the Internet and e-commerce has revolutionised LSCM.This is recognised in this programme and a distinctive feature of the syllabus is the strong IS content.
The programme will develop and enhance skills in the following areas:-
Managerial/Technical Competence: to understand the key issues in designing and operating effective LSCM systems. Business Confidence: to be able to align LSCM with the broader strategic goals of the organisation such that it can contribute to overall business success.
Leadership: to place LSCM in a broad context of academic and practitioner ideas, stimulating an analytical, reflective and creative approach to organisational learning.

According to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), when other areas of business have experienced reduced levels of employment, recruitment in LSCM has not declined.
