It combines the theoretical insights of forensic psychology, applied psychology and applied criminology. The programme covers: key areas of legal and criminological psychology (eg, aetiology of offending behaviour, judicial decision making, offender treatment programmes and victimisation); and practical research techniques and statistical methods.

Compulsory modules: Criminological Psychology; Legal Psychology; Research Methods; Professional and Research Issues and the Research Dissertation (MSc only approximately 10,000 to 15,000 words). Optional modules include: Crime and Victimisation; Feminist Perspectives in Criminology; Prisons in Context; Probation and Applied Criminology; Racism, Social Exclusion and Criminal Justice; White Collar Crime; and Youth Justice.
