'' Developed and delivered jointly by Middlesex in partnership with several European universities, we assist graduate nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in a European context. The course promotes the importance of partnership working between nurses and other healthcare professionals and related institutions to influence the health agenda in a rapidly changing Europe, as well as improving nursing practice across the continent. Awareness of global issues which affect health and health care provision, access and uptake of services will be promoted.
There is a strong focus on issues affecting the health behaviours and wellbeing of minority ethnic groups, economic migrants, asylum seekers and refugees encouraging students to examine their own practices and to learn from each other, providing a basis for engaging in joint research.
Programme Content: Students explore advanced nursing theory and practice, particularly in relation to transcultural nursing and comparative theory and meeting the challenges presented by diversity.

MSc and PGDip students take four core modules plus three optional modules. In addition, MSc students complete the dissertation. PGCert students take three modules. The first core module deals with the changing context of European nursing. It also considers health and nursing from a global perspective. The second core module focuses on European legal and health care systems, and examines relevant legislation, policy developments, professional education, practice, management and leadership. The third core module concentrates on comparative and culturally competent research; it will particularly deal with issues related to the research process, dissemination and the application of findings.
