A one-year programme designed to train those who teach interpreters including a placement. This programme is taught by staff from the Learning Reasource Centre at the Hendon Campus.

It is anticipated that the majority of applicants will be practising interpreters and/or interpreter trainers and the part-time study mode reflects this.
The class contact is also concentrated into day-long workshops in order to minimise disruption of professional commitments.

Three modules at level 4 leading to the PGCert runs over two semesters Semester one: Teaching Methodology Semesters one and two: Educational Theory and the Theory of Translation and Interpreting Semester two: Classroom Management and Teaching Practice. At all stages the paramount importance of professional ethics in interpreting is emphasised.
