'' The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification is designed for professionals who implement, manage, and troubleshoot existing network and system environments based on Microsoft Windows®2003 platforms, including Windows .NET Server. Implementation responsibilities include installing and configuring parts of the systems. Management responsibilities include administering and supporting the systems.

The typical MCSA supports hundreds to thousands of users at 2 to 100 physical locations. Typical network services and resources include messaging, database, file and print, proxy server or firewall, Internet and intranet, remote access, and client computer management. Connectivity needs include connecting branch offices and individual users at remote locations to the corporate network and connecting corporate networks to the Internet.

Who should attend?
MCSA meets industry needs. The MCSA on Windows Serverâ„?2003 credential is intended for

IT professionals who work in the typically complex computing environment of medium to large companies. Qualified professionals who can perform the network administration job function has grown significantly, and candidates as well as the IT industry have indicated that a certification for this job function is needed. Studies show that network and design administrators at IT companies have significant advancement opportunities-more than most other job categories.

What will I learn?
Middlesex University has met the strict criteria and training standards needed to be registered with the Microsoft ® IT Academy Program. Whilst it is not obligatory for training providers to be a registered with Microsoft®, Middlesex University recognises the importance of providing a high standard of training for its clients.

The Middlesex University programme will deliver courses using the Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC).

Please note that the MOC is only available to authorised training providers. The MOC manuals are included in the course fee, so there is no need for the students to purchase any books for these modules.

Core Exams (3 exams required)
Two networking system exams One client operating system exam Elective Exams (1 exam required)
