We offer a unique combination of: leadership development management development professional development, and personal development. The management subjects cover the key business disciplines and, contrasting with the traditional business school MBA model, the professional track is chosen from across the spectrum of all faculties at Monash University. Students can therefore choose the focus and direction of their study and tailor the degree to match their career aspirations. The personal skills development program is conducted over two successive weekends immediately prior to the commencement of each semester. This module is designed to be a first step in a continuous process of self-development for students in the Monash MBA program. It includes workshops addressing communication skills, analytical skills, whole brain thinking, with an emphasis on the development of leadership skills, psychometric testing, generic skills assessment and the basics of working in teams
Career management service The services include one-on-one counselling, career development workshops and seminars, resume reviews and an online careers library and resource centre. A major focus of the careers service is the development of strategic alliances with the corporate world to enhance the provision of career and employment related services and to encourage corporate participation in the MBA program.
MBA Leadership forums These seminars provide opportunities for you to gain insight from top business leaders about how they manage their organisations and generally what they have learnt from practical experience.
Summer and winter schools Provide an opportunity for you to accelerate progression through your degree. The summer school is held from November through February, and the winter school in the break between semesters in July.
Class sizes MBA core units do not exceed 50 students, thereby facilitating maximum interaction between students and lecturers. Each core unit necessitates 39 face-to-face contact hours over the course of a semester, plus approximately nine hours of independent study per week. ...''
