Training Course:

Quality Management

School/Trainer:

Open University Business School
Milton Keynes, United Kingdom

Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced

Course Description:

'' On the one hand, quality is the collective name given to a set of practical tools and methods that work well and make sense; on the other, it is a concept that brings about change, sometimes rendering acceptable improvements that would be resisted if they were introduced in the name of cost cutting or greater productivity. This duality, which gives quality its strength, is explored in the course. The course does teach the various modern approaches to quality management, but it also suggests a means founded on systems techniques appropriate to the needs of individual organisations, linking these techniques coherently rather than emphasising any single approach. The course is for anyone who is interested in improving organisational performance by managing quality more effectively; it is not confined to particular areas of commerce, industry or the public sector.

The course is subject to continual development and enhancement, so it may differ somewhat in content and structure from the outline given here.
