Course Description:

'' The course is aimed individuals who aspire to be senior managers and leaders in public sector organisations. The MBA for the Public Sector is designed to develop individuals through a tailored package of core and optional courses, drawn from existing MBA programmes and specially designed courses addressing key public sector issues.

The course addresses current pressures and future challenges upon the public sector including:

partnerships working,
governance,
leadership in the public sector, policy
implementation,
performance management,
reform of the public sector
and international public management.
The MBA for the Public Sector course follows the same structure as the MBA in International Management but 2 core courses and the 4 elective courses relate directly to the public sector. Our MBA programmes are also offered on a part-time basis: the modular format is well suited to combining study and employment.

Royal Holloway is ranked second among over 90 universities in England and Wales for the proportion of our students who go into graduate employment, according to official HESA statistics.

The School of Management has an expanding number of internships operating in the summer term: the internships are an excellent opportunity to experience management in ‘blue chip�companies and leading public sector organisations. It will help you put theory into practice and to develop business and management networks for once you have finished your course.

Entry Requirements
The Royal Holloway MBA normally requires:

An undergraduate (honours) degree (first or second class) or a degree-equivalent professional qualification
At least three years’ work experience
We also welcome student who have taken the GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) and who achieved a score of at least 550. Exceptional students may still be admitted to the MBA; please contact Professor David Faulkner (Director of the Royal Holloway MBA) for further advice.

Proficiency in English:
For students whose first language is not English, with qualification from non-English speaking institutions, confirmation of English language proficiency is required:

IELTS score of 6.5 (overall) with grade 7 (writing), or
Paper-based TOEFL score of 600, or
Computer-based TOEFL score of 250, or
Internet-based TOEFL score of 88.
