'' In addition to courses run by the Universitys English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC), the Management School offers a Pre-MBA course for a period of between three weeks and a year. The programme is seen as an excellent preparatory course for students planning to undertake an MBA and will help students improve their English and introduce them to life in Sheffield The hours of study are approximately 22 hours per week and will cover such issues as meetings and negotiating, business presentation skills, business vocabulary(including financial English), grammar, developing writing skills and business etiquette.
One of the options during this programme is to live with an English family, to encourage your use of the spoken word.
Visits to commercial and government organisations are also arranged and give students an opportunity to speak directly with British managers as well as to see, at first hand, how organisations operate.
