'' Our MA in European Industrial Relations offers you an exciting opportunity to explore employment relations with a comparative European focus. You will study national systems of employment relations in major European countries.

Develop your understanding of national and supra-national employment institutions and processes, and sharpen your skills in the comparative analyses of industrial relations.

As the industrial relations systems of member states are affected by Europe-wide activities and vice-versa, the need to understand these interactions is vital.

You can also choose to undertake some study, usually the research dissertation, at one of our partner institutions to gain the Master Européen en Sciences du Travail in addition to the MA.

We are able to offer funding through WBS Scholarships and ESRC Scholarships.

This course will see you study national systems of employment relations in major European countries, and explore the interactions between national industrial relations systems and Europe-wide activities and regulation. Choose the one year full-time route, or study for two years part-time.

The MA in European Industrial Relations consists of:

Five core modules
One elective module
A dissertation.
You can also choose to take additional courses to obtain your Master Européen en Sciences du Travail.

Modules are assessed primarily by written assignments, with examinations taken only if you do not meet the required standard in those assignments. Class presentations form part of the assessment in some modules.
