Course Content
This course offers you the opportunity to explore and study this very exciting and vibrant area of law, covering a wide range of important subjects including international sales, banking, corporate law, private international law, commercial arbitration, international taxation, international economic law, maritime law, EU business law, competition law, e-commerce and intellectual property. In addition to a strong academic emphasis, we also take a highly practical and professional approach to the subject, offering you grounding both in legal and commercial skills.

The course gives you a deep understanding of the context and application of international commercial law. You receive academic support to achieve a sound appreciation of the substantive legal principles in international commercial law and to develop appropriate legal, research and communication skills. The location of the University is ideal for studying international commercial law. Important legal and commercial institutions such as the Royal Courts, the Houses of Parliament, the Stock Exchange, and other exchanges in the City of London are all close to the School of Law.

Associated Careers
The course provides you with an English, EU and international dimension to commercial law. Former students are employed in specialist legal practice, the Bar, banking and finance, insurance, transport, shipping, management, in-house legal work, import and export, insolvency practice, dispute resolution, consultancy, the public sector, legal and professional training, the diplomatic service, international organisations, EU institutions and academia.

Entry Requirements
You should normally qualify for entry with a good Honours degree, namely First or Upper Second Class, or equivalent, in law, business, social science or humanities. Consideration will be given to mature applicants who lack standard qualifications but possess relevant experience. International applicants are welcomed with qualifications equivalent to those above. Evidence of a good standard of English will be required (minimum IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 600 or TOEFL (computer test) 250). ...''
