'' The MA Marketing Management is a leading qualification for those whose career interests lie in the marketing area. The University of Westminster was the first Higher Education institution in the South East to offer a part-time course leading to this qualification after successfully pioneering the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing in the period 1973-1990. In addition to the benefits of an expert and motivated teaching team, the course offers the advantages of a central location, the extensive use of leading practitioners as guest speakers and a variety of entry routes depending on qualification and experience. What you will gain? You will: i) broaden your existing understanding of marketing functions and their integration into an overall corporate structure; ii) develop a capacity for analysing complex marketing and business situations, and reaching decisions on appropriate courses of action; iii) improve your career prospects in marketing and general business areas; and iv) on completion of the Diploma stage of the MA course, obtain maximum exemptions from all examinations for the Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Teaching and Assessment The teaching approach is based on a combination of case studies, group work and practical assignments. Special emphasis is given to drawing out contributions based on your practical marketing experience.
Assignments cover a broad range from essays to case studies to assess and provide practice in the analysis of business situations and decision-making.
Entry Requirements Candidates will normally possess one of the following qualifications:
i) a UK Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) with a substantial marketing content; or ii) a UK Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) plus Principles of Marketing and Financial Aspects of Marketing from the Postgraduate Certificate in Marketing; or iii) a UK Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) and a Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing; or iv) a UK Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) plus significant relevant work experience: such candidates will already be familiar with the language of marketing and at least some of the concepts and techniques.
It is normally expected that successful candidates have a UK Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) of 2.2 or above. Exceptionally, non-graduates with significant experience of marketing may be admitted to the programme.
All candidates will need to demonstrate that they have the commitment and motivation to benefit from, and contribute to, the course.
Overseas candidates must have a score of 6.5 or higher in the English IELTS test or equivalent.
