'' Today, all businesses and government and other organizations rely on the vast amounts of information that they hold in their computer systems. This course addresses the growing need for high quality information at all levels of the organization. Because of several well杙ublicized disasters, there is increasing concern about the quality of this data. This has seen new high杄nd software being developed and the introduction of courses in universities around the world. This new MSc was designed as part of this worldwide movement. It is aimed at staff involved in monitoring data quality or maintaining data warehouses and at managers wanting to understand problems and solutions in information quality.

We use various methods, including coursework, presentations, academic writing assignments and group work. Library and internet sources are widely used to develop your research and analysis skills. Much use is made of industry standard software tools including high-quality modern software by SAS including Enterprise Miner, Text Miner, Data Integration Studio and DataFlux.

Associated Careers
Graduates will be suited to a wide range of roles ranging from the "soft" end of business analysis and systems design to the "hard" developments at all levels of analytical processing software, its testing and maintenance. It should enhance the career prospects of enterprise consultants, project leaders and managers, marketers, business systems analysts and designers, database administrators, application programmers, and warehouse application developers.

Entry Requirements
You should have an Honours degree or equivalent in a subject containing some computing content. In addition to degrees in the sciences and engineering, subjects such as geography, economics and business studies would be suitable. For those with extensive experience of working in business and industry, the maturity of approach gained may outweigh gaps in formal academic experience.
You must show competence in both written and spoken English equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above for international students.
