Course Description:
'' The Electronics Technology Program provides instruction and skill development to prepare the student for an entry-level position in the high tech fields of electronic service, maintenance, production, or engineering. The program curriculum includes DC/AC Theory, Solid State Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, as well as circuit building, soldering, and many high tech projects using muscle wire, electro-luminous cable, laser penlight communications, AM Radio, microprocessor circuits, and robotics. Electronic Systems Repair, second phase of the program, builds on the electronic fundamentals to expand into Programmable Logic Controller Automation, Telecommunications, AM/SSB/FM Broadcasting, Fiber Optics, Computer Hardware, and Certified Electronic Technician (C.E.T.) Preparation.
Prerequisite: Prospective students must pass the General Entrance Test, WorkKeys®, at a Level 4 in Applied Math and Reading for Information.
