Mission Statement

The mission of the Andover College Allied Health Department is to provide students an education that will prepare them with demonstrated technical skills, work ethic, and professional values to enter the medical workforce. These are characterized by, but not limited to, students who achieve entry-level competencies, promote a positive attitude, contribute as team players, are responsible professionals, and are empathetic to patients’ needs.

Program-Specific Outcomes

Demonstrate competencies in all aspects of medical assisting clinical practice
Exhibit proficiency in clerical and administrative functions required of a medical assistant
Employ the highest standards and ethical and legal values in medical assisting practices
Integrate knowledge from behavioral and biological sciences as a basis for allied health practices
