'' The radiologic technologist is trained to perform routine radiographic examinations in the areas of fluoroscopy, routine and advance radiography of the chest, abdomen, osseous system, vertebral column, and cranium. This includes working in the radiology department, operating and emergency rooms, and with mobile equipment. This also involves a critical analysis of the radiograph from technical, anatomical, and pathological standards.

This graduate is then eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT ) and qualified to be a registered radiologic technologist (RT). The RT is a vital member of the health care team, performing a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which require the application of x-rays and other ionizing radiations. ...''
