'' The Construction Engineering Technology program is an instructional program designed to prepare technicians for employment within the construction industries and firms in mid-level management operations as estimators, material specialists, planners, project managers, layout specialists, or other construction operations. Individuals currently employed as professionals will enhance their ability to perform their duties in the construction business. This curriculum leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree. Students completing the program will be prepared for jobs in supervision, estimating, layout, handling, storing, monitoring, materials, safety, leadership, and organization of construction projects. In the program, students learn environment and workplace safety issues. They also learn how to identify safety hazards and notify the proper authorities. Through an internship program, students have the opportunity to work in a position related to construction management technology.
