Course Description:
'' The four-semester heating and air conditioning program prepares individuals to work in engineering departments or private firms. Job responsibilities may include installing, maintaining, and operating small or medium air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. Course instruction prepares individuals for work in commercial organizations performing special tasks relating to designing duct work, assembly, installation, servicing, operation, and maintenance of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with industry standards.
This is an open-entry, open-exit, self paced instructional program. Students can enroll any Monday of the regular school year, provided space is available. Classes are held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students satisfactorily completing the program are awarded a diploma but may elect to pursue an Associate of Applied Science degree in Occupational Education.
