'' The field of construction management encompasses all facets of leadership and administration in the construction industry. Students complete the Hastings College Business major, Liberal Arts Program and take 22-24 hours of construction technology classes at Central Community College (CCC).
In the business administration component, students take classes in accounting, business law, communication, economics, finance, human resource management, and business management.
Students in the program will receive a voucher starting first semester sophomore year from Hastings College good for 3-4 hours a semester at CCC for construction technology classes.
The construction technology component utilizes construction theories and practices from framing to cabinet construction, project management, job costing, and job site controls. Students apply their skills by building a house providing them with "hands on" real world experience.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Construction management graduates are in high demand by contractors in all types of construction including residential, commercial, industrial, highway and heavy construction.
