'' This program provides students with the training needed for responsible entry-level positions performing support functions in legal offices and related banking, financial and investment organizations. In addition to the legal assistant and paralegal courses, students will develop an expertise in secretarial, computer, and word processing courses. Students may also have the option of taking electives to specialize in management or accounting courses. Program graduates are expected to secure employment in law offices, government agencies, banking and financial firms and real estate and investment firms. In recent years, paralegal positions have been cited as among the fastest growing occupations in major metropolitan areas. All legal students have the opportunity to become student members of Legal Support Staff of Berks County. PACE is located directly across the street from the Berks County Courthouse and the County Services Building, where many PACE grads have obtained employment in the Judges offices, Public Defenders office, Controllers office, IT department, and many other areas.
