Course Description:
'' To be successful in business, managing people and your organization effectively is essential. NYU Sterns Executive MBA program delivers a general management curriculum, infuses a global approach to business, and emphasizes leadership and career development.
Curriculum for Experienced Working Professionals Our rigorous curriculum is designed specifically for executives with an average of 14 years of work experience. It delves into the complex business issues that seasoned managers face. Our program replicates the workplace by having students take all of their classes with a cohort of peers from diverse backgrounds, functions and industries. They benefit from the collective work experience of their classmates and are able to apply immediately what they learn in the classroom to their work.
Flexible Scheduling Students can start the program in August or January. Classes meet Friday and Saturday, every other week, providing concentrated learning sessions spaced two weeks apart, helping executives balance demanding careers, travel and personal lives. Please click here to see a copy of the first year academic calendar for the program that begins in August 2007.
The curriculum requires just two courses at a time, all ending at different points to help keep conflicts with work and personal commitments to a minimum.
Premier Faculty The Executive MBA Program faculty is handpicked for their expertise in teaching experienced professionals. They infuse their own research and experiences working directly with the international business community into the curriculum, offering a stimulating and relevant class experience.
Study Groups Student study groups are designed to foster collaboration and support to enhance learning while reinforcing the teamwork skills that are necessary in business. We formulate groups of four to six students, complementing skills and backgrounds. Groups meet in person and virtually.
Finance Specialization Unique among top executive MBA programs, NYU Stern offers a specialization in finance. Students take nine credits of elective courses in finance, and their specialization can be reflected in their transcript. ...''
