'' Massage Therapists use professional touch in the application of massage techniques. As a student in the Massage Therapist program at PMI, you’ll learn how to perform therapeutic massage techniques for preventive maintenance, recovery from injury, stress management, relaxation and general wellness.
PMI’s Massage Therapist classes teach techniques to care for specific conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain and headaches. Our massage school also provides training on how to provide services to special needs populations including the elderly, athletes and pregnant women.
In addition to proficiency in the practical application of massage techniques, PMI’s Massage Therapist students gain a working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, pathology, kinesiology, as well as strong interpersonal skills and professional ethics.

Trained Massage Therapists are kneaded! According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of Massage Therapists is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2012, as the health services industry continues to expand and diversify.
PMI will train you for successful licensing, accreditation and certification. PMIs Massage Therapist program is state-licensed and nationally accredited. Our program meets the eligibility criteria for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) Exam. The school also is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). Membership is pending in International Movement and Bodywork Professionals (IMBP). Massage Therapist professionals must apply for a state license.
