Course Description:
'' The nursing program at Pima Medical Institute will prepare you to succeed in the rewarding and lucrative field of healthcare. Upon graduation from our associate degree program, you will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (also known as NCLEX-RN), administered by the State Board of Nursing. After passing the exam, you will become licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state administering the exam.
With an associate degree from PMI, you can take your nursing career just about anywhere. After you earn your associate degree in nursing, the profession will treat you well. Nursing offers flexibility and job security. A variety of shifts are available to fit your busy lifestyle. You can work in patient care areas as diverse as labor and delivery. Pediatrics. Geriatrics. Surgery. Trauma. And more. Because nurses are in such high demand, the opportunities are virtually limitless. Especially if you attend PMI’s two-year nursing school.
As an RN, you can work in hospitals, healthcare facilities, clinics, community health organizations, long-term care facilities and in the home. No matter where you provide patient care, as a Registered Nurse you will be part of a valued healthcare team, working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals.
There’s a shortage of nurses. With the current nursing shortage, it’s smart to consider PMI, an approved nursing school. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for RN’s are expected to be very good. Employment of registered nurses is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2012, and because the RN occupation is very large, many new jobs will result. In fact, more new jobs are expected to be created for RN’s than for any other occupation and that’s true for nurses in Arizona, too. Thousands of RN job openings also will result from the need to replace experienced nurses who leave the occupation, especially as the median age of the registered nurse population continues to rise.
RN stands for Right Now! Nursing is a profession of compassion, integrity, opportunity and involvement. If that’s the kind of career you’re wanting, look into RN training at Pima Medical Institute now!
