As a medical assistant, you could have the opportunity to work directly with patients, assisting with their care and well-being. If you are interested in being a part of this exciting and rewarding field, a certificate from our Medical Assistant program can allow you the opportunity to become a qualified candidate. We will provide you the necessary clinical and administrative knowledge and skills you will need to apply for various entry-level positions.

Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum, along with hands-on training on equipment typically used in a medical setting, that will prepare you to become an integral member of a medical team. The numerous courses offered can train you for specific duties such as assisting the supervising physician with administering injections, taking vital signs, recording EKGs, assisting in minor surgical procedures, basic accounting procedures, and fundamentals of charting and documentation. To enhance your career-based experience, you will also complete an externship program at a local clinic, physician’s office, health maintenance organization, or other allied health facility.

The program is designed to help eligible students prepare for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam, sponsored by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).*
