'' This course develops the graphic skills and technical knowledge that are needed to communicate essential, detailed information to clients, builders/contractors, and consulting engineers. Emphasis is placed on the preparation of a complete set of working drawings for a single-family residence, using AutoCAD software. The methods and techniques of light wood frame construction are explored in depth. Sample specifications are studied and prepared by each student. The objective is to understand the purpose of contract drawings as a means of communicating design ideas to a builder/contractor and to expand and strengthen the student’s skills in the fundamental methods and techniques of light wood frame construction. ...''
