Description This course is designed to provide students with the skills required to understand key requirements for : developing, porting and running UNIX applications under OS/390 UNIX Services. UNIX Services are included with the standard OS/390 package. OS/390 Version 1 Release 2 has officially achieved the XPG4 UNIX Profile Brand from the X/Open Organisation. This XPG4 Branding is also known by the names UNIX 95, SPEC 1170, the Single UNIX Specification and Universal UNIX.
Audience Experienced professionals who will be responsible for developing, porting and running UNIX applications through UNIX Services.
Prerequisites Before taking this course, the student should be familiar with UNIX programming: Korn Shell, C/C++ language, UNIX Editor (vi, emacs, ...)
