'' A seven-course dinner for two. Grocery stores with multicultural take-out menus. 600 high-flying meals: lunch and dinner, two classes, three choices - all planned and prepared with as much attention to the airline’s bottom line as the passengers’ waistlines. This is the beauty and the business of the Culinary Arts.

You’ll study the fundamentals of fine cuisine, nutrition, purchasing, cost control, kitchen management and restaurant procedures. Our professional kitchens, rich with terra-cotta tile and stainless steel equipment, are your hands-on classrooms. So is Seattle. The city boasts hundreds of excellent eateries including every possible cuisine. You’ll shop world-famous Pike Place Market for the freshest of ingredients. You’ll cook or serve in "Portfolio," our own restaurant overlooking the snow-capped Olympic Mountains and Elliott Bay. And, you’ll be encouraged to be part of our winning Culinary Arts Competition Team and to get inside the industry with an internship.

With experience from four-star restaurants to corporate food giants, our faculty chefs use their knowledge to prepare students for entry-level positions with restaurants, hotels, catering firms, bakeries, and resorts. Our graduates will enter an industry where there is tremendous opportunity and flexibility.
