Topics of this program include: Microsoft Word Intermediate, Microsoft Excel Intermediate, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook; Business Communications; Career Management; Bookkeeping Fundamentals; Simply Accounting; Legal Fundamentals; Corporation and Business Law; Real Estate Law; Immigration; Owning and Operating a Paralegal Business; Civil Litigation and Debt Collection; Family Law; Wills & Estates; Legal Research; Torts & Contracts; Employment and Intellectual Property Law; Criminal Law and Procedures; Highway Traffic Act & Provincial Offences; Advocacy and Rules of Evidence; Small Claims with Moot Court; Administrative Law - Part I & II; Residential Tenancies.

One of the most interesting aspects of the paralegal profession is the variety of assignments, projects, functions and environments that are encompassed within the profession. While many paralegals pursue a traditional career path of law firm employment, it is by no means the only avenue available to those with such a background. Paralegals have the option of specializing in a particular area such as family law, health care, personal injury, civil litigation corporate law, estate planning, real estate, immigration, environmental protection, civil rights and criminal law.
